Taking Cues from Tulip

Today I woke up feeling squirrelly. I'm starting to miss Ava. I was happy to get an update that said she was a happy, cute baby, but that only tells me so much. I'm wondering if that was a bug bite on her chin or if she needs an antibiotic cream. I bought a rather ugly toy that crickles and cracks and has a mirror for her to start making googly faces at herself. Wise women told me babies like that kind of thing.

I do have complete faith in her caregivers, but I'm ready to be the caregiver. This is a new hard.

Tulip seems to be handling the wait well. I need to learn to sit with similar grace and alertness as we wait for our court date.

Tulip is beautiful. I think she could teach Bob Laurence some grace and patience.

Tulip looks so sweet and gentle - like the wise protector of Ava!! Hang on mama - not long now.

Yes, the waiting is the hardest part. But then again, you learn so much amazing patience while waiting, so it just might be the best part. And dude, you're so going to need that patience stuff when Ava finally gets here.

We are still waiting for our referral, and much as I can't imagine that the waiting will get any harder at any point, I know it will--when we're waiting to travel. May your court date be over & passed so very soon!

And Tulip could not be any more lady-like, elegant, or cute. Thank goodness for the canine friend.

Tulip's back feet are past her nose - uh, and comfortably...my cue from Tulip, do more yoga.

I am ready for you to be her caregiver too. Hurry up boots of time, march on, march on.

OMG, We sent the CocoPrincess the same sensory toy gadget...the mirror is kinda sucky tho!

Yeah, the wait for court-passing is beginning to make me itch...I want our little one home now...sleeping in one of her beds!

It IS a new kind of hard. There are all kinds of different kinds of hard. But it will pass and she'll be in YOUR arms...it will happen. then you get sleep deprivation hard! ha! But that one comes w/ baby smells and soft cuddles, so it's easier in it's own way! hang in there! m

I love the upholstery on your chair. It looks like a nice spot to read a book with A.

Do you think Tulip could come live in Chattanooga for a while and teach Peenut some grace and alertness (sans insanity)?

This part IS so hard. I'm sorry. I thought it was the hardest part of the journey. I wish I could give you a big hug and a glass of wine.
Oh, baby is going to LOVE Tulip. She looks ready also.
