My First Tagging

My Darling Dandie Rose tagged me. (I think this is the term for what has happened, although I'm a virgin when it comes to these winks on the blogging world.) The task at hand was to post the fourth picture in your photo library. Please, please, I hoped, as I opened the folder, don't be that one where I'm not wearing any pants. Happily, it was instead a shot of me and the old man from September 2004, taken on our Brooklyn deck on the dreamy blue sky morning after our wedding. (Shout out to 7th Avenue!) In a few hours we'd be up in that perfect sky, on the way to Paris. Boy, were those ever the days.

(Also, harumph!, I'm looking at my chin and it appears I was storing nuts for the long plane ride ahead.)

I think I'm supposed to tag people now but I feel shy. Also, I don't forward chain emails or dress up for theme parties. Buzz kill!

I don't see the nut thing at all but I do have one question: Are you copping a feel?

It's a very sweet picture.

And I am totally up for planning a trip for 20 to Addis. We'll arrive, scatter to our respective transition houses, and then meet back up for lots of tears and laughter.

although, I will say the Etta hate towards Miss. B was way uncool...

oh, and I could not stop thinking about your Mr. No Burrito friend all night...I kept thinking NB would hate that...hee hee...I wonder what NB would say here...

I am anxious to know what you are writing, but understand the need for privacy...

theme parties are the best. You just have to go with the flow

Lucky you, that was a great picture!! This tagging thing is a good reason to go through all your photos and delete the stuff that doesn't look so great. (Or nudey or whatever.....) Gotta get on it.

and in another four years you will be looking at past pictures of your baby girl at play, thinking, those were the days. . .

Ha! I love that picture. The copping a feel thing is incredibly right-on. Ahh, wedded bliss. I mean, why not take advantage of the fact you could cop a feel whenever you wanted to... that's what marriage is all about, right? Freedom??

Mama Dog.

I got your beads this weekend. You must know I am touched (although not in the same way your beloved is in the picture you posted). The card, the words you shared- perfect. Absolutely perfect. Why can't I be as witty as you??!!!

I'm so glad you manned up and went to the bead store. I want an entire necklace made out of the round beads... gorgeous. As for tough love. Goes along with the poem, 'eh? All I can say is- thank God for tough love. Thank God.

When can we meet in person?

Oh- and now you must know we're considering Langston or Hughes as our first child's name. How can you not?

Life is fine!
Fine as wine!
Life is fine!

Thank you, sweet friend. I will forever cherish your gift....
